// MAORI WORSHOPS //
Hone Bailey, from New Zealand, is putting together a Maori Kapahaka (Dance) group to participate in next years "Te Manahua" Kapahaka competition held in Hawaii. The competition was established to provide opportunities for Maori ouside of New Zealand to preserve and nurture our culture and for others who love Maori culture to learn and experience a taste of the beauties of our culture and bring us together from other parts of the world to celebrate our heritage. Last years groups were from Hawaii, London, Australia, and Japan and hopefully next year NY will be added to the List. This is not a show group, this is for everyone ages 14 and up. No experience required, all races, shapes and sizes, all you need is a desire learn. One unique thing about Kapahaka is that Men and Women dance together and sing together. If you are interested in learning you are very welcome to join, dont be shy. I promise you that this will be an experience you will never forget.
